Licensure Update

After much discussion it was decided to pull the licensure bill from this session of the legislature.

It is felt that the votes are just not there to give the majority in either the Senate or House committee to move the bill forward. 

We will take a breath and regroup to debrief and plan sometime this spring.  Thanks to everyone for their hard work and support.  This is a tough issue to push, even though it is the right thing to do.  We have learned alot.

Hospital Administration Talking Points Many, if not most, laboratories in MN already have hiring practices that comply with the provisions of this bill. However, these are voluntary and can be changed at any time.  We see evidence of compromised standards in many states due to financial pressures on hospitals and laboratories.
