About Us
In the recent past, ASCLS-MN membership has been distributed into three areas of service which have been assigned to an Area Senior and Junior Director. At the May 2007 annual membership meeting in St. Cloud, it was announced that the Board of Directors has decided to redistribute the areas into seven areas of service, as depicted on the map below.
Each of these seven areas of service will need volunteers to serve as Area Directors, to assist in setting up continuing education meetings for each area, in the next fiscal year. If all goes well and the areas seem to be working for the membership, an amendment to the ASCLS-MN bylaws will be proposed and voted on at the next years' annual membership meeting in May, 2008.
If you are interested in assisting in your area, please email President Jillene Collins at: jillenecollins@earthlink.net
Recruitment Video
Last year, ASCLS was awarded a grant from the Abbott Fund to create a video that would introduce high school students to clinical laboratory science. The video ran on Facebook as part of a Labs are Vital project on that web site.
The recruitment videos are now available for downloading on the ASCLS web site at http://www.ascls.org under Careers or by clicking on "Download Recruitment Video" under "What's New".
Please take advantage of this unique opportunity to help introduce high school students to our profession. |
