          executive secretary shall be a non-voting member of the board.  The Junior
Director from each area will be a non-voting member.  The Junior Director will
be granted voting privileges only in the absence of the Senior Director
representing their specific area. 


          1.    For the purpose of representation on the Board of Directors only, the state
     
is divided into three (3) seven (7) geographic areas.

 

a.        Area I shall be bounded on the west and north by the boundaries of the state.  On the east it shall be bounded by the eastern boundaries of Lake-of-the-Woods, Beltrami, Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, and Benton counties.  On the south the boundaries shall be the southern boundaries of Traverse, Stevens, Pope, Stearns, and Benton counties. 

 

b.     Area II shall be bounded on the north and east by the boundaries of
      
the state.  On the west it shall be bounded by the western
      
boundaries of Koochiching, Itasca, Aitkin, and Mille Lacs counties.
      
On the south it shall be bounded by the southern boundaries of Mille
      
Lacs, Kanabec, and Pine counties.

 

c.     Area III shall be bounded on the west, south and east by the borders
       of the state.  On the north it shall be bounded by the northern
       boundaries of Big Stone, Swift, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Wright,
       Sherburne, Isanti, and Chisago counties.

 

a.  Southeast Area includes the counties of Houston, Fillmore, Mower, Freeborn, Faribault, Blue Earth, Waseca, Steele, Dodge, Olmsted, Winona, Wabasha, Goodhue, Rice, LeSueur, Nicollet, and Sibley.

 

b.  Southwest Area includes the counties of Martin, Jackson, Nobles, Rock, Pipestone, Murray, cottonwood, Watonwan, Brown, Redwood, Lyon, Lincoln, Yellow Medicine, Renville, Meeker, Kandiyohi, Chippewa, Lac Qui Parle, Big Stone, and Swift.

 

c.  West Central Area includes the counties of Pope, Stevens, Traverse, Grant, Douglas, Ottertail, Wilkin, Clay and Becker.

 

d.  Northwest Area includes the counties of Hubbard, Clear Water, Mahnomen, Norman, Polk, Pennington, Red Lake, Beltrami, Lake-of-the-Woods, Roseau, Kittson, and Marshall.

 

 

 

 

“One representative to the Board of Directors from each of the seven (7) areas shall be elected each year at the annual meeting to serve a term of two (2) years.”
